SAM PuttLab

SAM PuttLab is the world’s most accurate and comprehensive putt analysis and training system. It analyzes the 28 most important parameters of your putting stroke and displays the results in easy to understand graphic reports.

We met with Dr. Harry Brandt, who used the SAM PuttLab system to analyze INPUTT during three conditions: before, during, and after training with INPUTT. What it revealed is nothing short of amazing.

The images below from the SAM PuttLab report show dramatic improvement in key parameters, with many at 100% consistency both during and after training with INPUTT.

FACE AT IMPACT

Before Using INPUTT

In the before condition, Dr. Brandt can be seen consistently closing his putter face at the same angle at impact. If the angle of the face is even 1 degree open or closed, an 8-foot putt can miss the hole.

You can see Dr. Brandt has instantly corrected his stroke from closed to slightly open while training with INPUTT. And while he’s actually over-correcting, he’s doing it exactly the same way every time.

Dr. Brandt has not only maintained the corrected angle of his putter face after training with INPUTT, but he has also gotten closer to being perfectly square. He doesn’t yet have the consistency that INPUTT provided, but that’s the nature of the device: the golfer is free to focus on keeping their putter head square.

PUTTER PATH

Before Using INPUTT

Dr. Brandt displays a solid and consistent putter path before training with INPUTT. This parameter is likely not one that needs work, but we’ve included it to show the full spectrum of training with INPUTT.

With use of the INPUTT, the path has become highly consistent. Additionally, it should be noted that INPUTT encourages an in-to-out stroke that promotes the correct overspin and roll characteristics.

While Dr. Brandt’s putter path consistency was very high to begin with, he has slightly increased that to 100% after using INPUTT. He has also improved his direction after training, which shows that he has begun to unlearn the bad habits of an improper stance and stroke and to find the proper putting path.

IMPACT SPOT

Before Using INPUTT

The impact spot on Dr. Brandt’s putter face varied significantly before using INPUTT. Balance, setup, and swing path are major factors that contribute to an inconsistent impact spot.

Unsurprisingly, the accuracy and consistency of Dr. Brandt’s impact spot are almost perfect. The ball is impacting just a little high on the putter face, but INPUTT is helping him consistently connect at the same place.

We did a double-take when we saw this graphic! Not only has Dr. Brandt continued to maintain 100% consistency after training with INPUTT, but he has adjusted the impact point even closer to perfect. Did we forget to mention this test was conducted in one afternoon? Imagine the results after training for a week or more…

LOFT & RISE

Before Using INPUTT

The upward trajectory of Dr. Brandt’s putting stroke show an upward predicted launch and backspin, with the putter at just below 12 mm at impact.

The instant feedback that INPUTT provides is illustrated in the side views of each putt. Dr. Brandt clearly shows a much greater control of backstroke, height at impact, and follow-through.

Dr. Brandt is able to repeat the increased control over his stroke after training with INPUTT. With a neutral predicted spin and a decreased fluctuation in aspects of loft and rise, the data shows the ability of INPUTT to help golfers develop a consistent movement pattern.

Many thanks to Dr. Harry Brandt for allowing us to use his data to illustrate the effectiveness of training with INPUTT.
